DharmaCenterThe Dharmakaya Retreat Center provides a quiet place for individual and group retreats. Located on 38 beautiful acres in the heart of the Catskills, the Center is housed in a circa 1890 farmhouse. Venerable Khenchen Rinpoche is usually in residence to lead daily practice and guide retreatants. The Center also hosts teachings, empowerments, and retreat series led by Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche PhD.

Center Programs

The Dharmakaya Center hosts regular programs in Buddhist study and practice to which all are invited.

  • Daily: At 9:00 am most mornings, the Venerable Khenchen Rinpoche performs a short ceremony dedicated to the Tibetan Buddhist deity Green Tara.

  • Weekly: On Sunday mornings, the Dharmakaya Catskills Group gathers at the Center to study the curriculum designed by Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche which includes meditation, Buddhist classics, and discussions of various Dharma related topics.

  • Annually: Led by Rinpoche, Discovering the Dharma is a series of five retreats covering fifteen subject areas of Mahayana Buddhism.

  • Ongoing: The Center welcomes individual retreatants to come for any length of time. We will help you design a retreat that meets your needs.
The Venerable Khenchen Rinpoche is not currently in residence.
